Here are two thoughts I’d like to share. The greedy homeowners overpricing their homes are not able to sell them, which in turn makes it tough to twist a “knife” in anyone. Secondly, my wife and I made $53,000 per year when we bought our condo for $112,000 a little over a year ago.
She is a dietitian and I was a grocery clerk. We have been married two years and are both 29 years old. We lived in a small one-bedroom apartment in Santa Barbara renting for $605 a month to save for that elusive down payment. It was not easy but we knew what we wanted.
I am now one of those “greedy real estate agents” you so wrongly described. I would love to sit down with you and your wife and show you the many ways that are available for you to get into the housing market.
Quit looking at $300,000 homes and start looking for what you can afford.
