Meek Named Co-Coach for South in Shrine Game

Gary Meek, Esperanza High School football coach, has been named co-coach of the South team that will participate in the 40th Shrine All-Star game scheduled July 27 at the Rose Bowl.
Last fall, Meek led Esperanza to a 14-0 record and the Southern Section’s Division III championship. Meek will be joined by Dick Barrett, retiring coach at Lompoc.
George White of San Francisco Galileo and Mike Vogt of Visalia Mt. Whitney will coach the North team.
