A fire caused by an electrical short displaced a family in San Ysidro and caused $30,000 damage to their home, San Diego Fire Department officials said Friday.
The fire broke out at 2 p.m. at the home in the 3700 block of Sunset Lane, leaving an adult and two children without a place to stay, Capt. Al McDonald of the San Diego police said. The names of the family members were not available.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation. A spokesman for the Fire Department said the Red Cross will help the family find shelter.
