Super Grammys: Bob Dylan, John Lennon, country singer Kitty Wells and classical singer Marian Anderson are the winners of the Lifetime Achievement Awards to be presented at the 33rd Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 20. The founders of three record labels will also be honored during the live telecast from New York. The Grammy’s Trustees Award will go to Milt Gabler, founder of Commodore; Berry Gordy, founder of Motown Records; and Sam Phillips, founder of Sun Records. The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences will also honor singer David Crosby next month in New York as MUSICARES’ first “Man of the Year” for his work in substance abuse. MUSICARES focuses the music industry’s attention on social issues.
