Group Seeks Ouster of Pollution Research Board

A group that owns 13% of the stock of Pollution Research & Control, a Glendale maker of air pollution monitors, is seeking to oust the company’s board of directors and replace it with its own slate of directors. The group, which includes Albert Lax, H. Rodney Withers, Eric J. Nickerson and Marty Williams, is seeking a special shareholders meeting to vote on the ouster and replacement.
The group said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Pollution Research’s management is “failing to effectively manage the business affairs of the company,” adding that it has asked to inspect the company’s financial records.
