COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Women Take 17-1 Lead, Coast

Starting quickly, the Saddleback College women’s basketball team defeated Citrus, 77-50, Tuesday in a consolation game at the Riverside College tournament.
The Gauchos (10-3) took a 17-1 lead, and it was 38-21 at halftime. Kristen Okura had 17 points and 12 rebounds, making five of nine shots from the field and seven of 10 from the free-throw line. Erin Schimeneck added 14 points and Shannon Garnos 13 for the Gauchos.
Marilyn Robinson scored 21 points for Citrus (6-10).
Game postponed--The men’s basketball game between Saddleback and Imperial Valley was postponed because of a scheduling discrepancy. Officials from the schools will meet today to decide if it will be rescheduled.
