OJAI : Body of Woman Found Next to Road

The body of a woman between 25 and 35 years old was discovered by a sheriff’s deputy Monday morning off the side of California 33 between Ojai and Rose Valley, prompting a murder investigation, authorities said.
“We are looking at this as a homicide,” Ventura County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Harwell said.
As of early Monday evening, the coroner’s office was still attempting to identify the body, found fully clothed.
The woman is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with brown hair and eyes. Wingate estimated that the body had been at the site 12 to 24 hours.
