BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Parks Scores 34, but Marina Rally Comes Up Short

Cherokee Parks scored 34 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, but Marina High School’s fourth-quarter comeback fell short in a 56-53 loss to Long Beach Jordan Wednesday night at Marina.

Parks had 10 points in the fourth quarter when the Vikings (3-3) cut a 15-point deficit to four, 55-51, with 11 seconds left. Rodney Harris hit the front end of a one-and-one with nine seconds left to seal the victory for Jordan (5-3).
