A Providence, R.I., grand jury refused to indict New England wide receiver Irving Fryar for allegedly carrying a pistol without a permit. The grand jury also declined to indict William Earley, who allegedly assaulted Patriot wide receiver Hart Lee Dykes during a scuffle outside a Providence nightclub, leading to Fryar’s Oct. 10 arrest.
