FBI agents and Orange County sheriff’s deputies were searching Wednesday for a man who robbed a bank here of an undisclosed amount of money.
The man, who appeared to be in his 30s, walked into the Wells Fargo branch at 24251 Rockfield Blvd. on Tuesday and gave a teller a note saying he had a gun and demanding money, officials said. No weapon was seen, officials said.
The teller gave the man a bundle of money and he fled on foot, officials said.
Responding to a tip that the suspect was spotted near Bridger and El Toro roads, authorities searched that area. The suspect was not found, but a $10 bill taken in the robbery was discovered, officials said.
The robber was wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, a red T-shirt and a baseball cap.
