If Harry Shearer was “raised by Europeans,” as he says in “Dishing It Out” (Oct. 14), not only didn’t their language have a word for “microwaveable,” it also had a strange way of combining French and Spanish.

“ Ou sont les Ollie Hammond’s d’ayer “ should have been either “ Ou sont les Ollie Hammond’s d’hier “ or “ Donde estan los Ollie Hammond’s de ayer .”
