Fewell Is Out Because of Academic Reasons

Mike Fewell, Valencia High School’s leading rusher, has been ruled academically ineligible, Tiger Coach Mike Marrujo said Monday.

Fewell, a senior, gained 848 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in 10 games. He was declared ineligible Friday, the day before the Tigers played Sierra Vista in the first round of the Southern Section Division VI playoffs.
