Polaroid, Kodak Want Big Award Changed: Polaroid Corp. and Eastman Kodak Co. took steps that will keep their 14-year-old patent infringement battle running longer. They filed papers in federal court in Boston asking for changes in the record $909 million awarded Polaroid on Oct. 12. Polaroid, the instant-photography company based in Cambridge, Mass., asked that the award be raised by $173 million. Kodak, of Rochester, N.Y., asked for a $48-million reduction.
