David Wingate of the San Antonio Spurs will go on trial Jan. 7 on charges of raping a 17-year-old, according to the prosecutor in Ellicott City, Md.
Wingate, 26, is charged with second-degree rape, battery and a fourth-degree sexual offense.
The alleged victim said she was attacked during a party at his apartment in Columbia, Md., Sept. 16. Wingate told police she had consented to have sex.
A 21-year-old woman charged Wingate last month in a civil suit in San Antonio, alleging that he sexually assaulted her last June after drinking with her at a nightclub.
