Rio Mesa 49, Dos Pueblos 19--Gordy Abellera and Brian Hafer each ran for two touchdowns, and Angel Lopez threw two touchdown passes to lead a balanced Rio Mesa attack at Dos Pueblos.
Rio Mesa (4-3, 2-2) led at halftime, 35-0, and scored six touchdowns before Dos Pueblos got on the scoreboard.
On defense, the Spartans had four sacks. Within 67 seconds, Frank Tinoco set up Abellera’s second score with an interception and set up Lopez’s first touchdown pass with a fumble recovery. Abellera rushed for 141 yards to increase his season total to 582.
