Sacramento Paper Won’t Advertise NC-17 Films: The Sacramento Union said it will reject advertising for all movies carrying the new adults-only NC-17 rating explaining that it is “a strong family paper” and that the ads run contrary to its image and philosophy. The Union, a morning paper with a circulation of 70,000, joins the 180,000-circulation Birmingham (Ala.) News, which last week banned NC-17 ads.
