MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Charlton Heston, who has been stumping for two Republican congressmen, will relinquish the podium soon to take on the role of Sherlock Holmes.
Heston said Sunday he’s traveling to London this month to begin work on “Crucifer of Blood,” a film based on Paul Giovanni’s play about the Arthur Conan Doyle sleuth. The movie will be directed by his son, Fraser Heston.
Heston starred in a 1980 stage production of “Crucifer of Blood.”
