NEWBURY PARK : 7 Hurt in 2-Car Crash Near Church

Seven people were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-car collision at Borchard Road and Redfield Avenue in Newbury Park, sheriff’s deputies said.
The collision occurred at 5:40 p.m. when one car turned left out of the St. Julie Billiart Church driveway into the eastbound lane of Borchard and was hit in the rear by another car, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
The victims are from Thousand Oaks and were taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where they were treated and released, the department said.
Sheriff’s Lt. Tony Ditzhazy said an investigation is continuing, but that no charges have been filed.
