Los Angeles police were questioning seven men this morning in connection with a hit-and-run accident that killed a 34-year-old Northridge bicyclist on Roscoe Boulevard late Sunday.
The accident occurred at 10 p.m. when a westbound pickup struck the cyclist as he rode next to the curb near White Oak Avenue, police said. The victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center where he died about an hour later.
The truck did not stop after the accident, but witnesses provided investigators with the license plate number and the vehicle was traced to an address in the 7700 block of Kester Avenue in Van Nuys.
Detective Anthony Bartolotto said seven men at the address were arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run. He said the men are being questioned to determine who was driving.
