ANAHEIM : Hearing Is Tonight on Apartment Plan
- Share via
The City Council tonight will hold a public hearing on a proposed 334-unit apartment complex in an older West Anaheim neighborhood where residents have repeatedly opposed the building of apartments.
The proposal for the 9.2-acre plot just north of Lincoln Avenue in the 400 block of Magnolia Avenue calls for constructing a three- or four-story building with the maximum number of units allowed for the area.
In past hearings, residents living behind the proposed project in single-family homes have argued that other portions of West Anaheim have been overrun by apartment complexes that do not mix with the existing homes. They say the area will become overcrowded and have more traffic if the project is developed.
