Fluor Daniel Wins $300-Million Pact: The principal subsidiary of Irvine-based Fluor Corp. said it won the contract for work on a 663-megawatt power plant that will be the largest independent power producer in the United States when completed in 1992. Fluor Daniel will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the Doswell Combined Cycle Facility in Hanover County, Va. The contract was awarded by Doswell Limited Partnership, a unit of Los Angeles-based Diamond Energy Inc., whose parent company is Mitsubishi Corp.
