Art Conference: For the first time in its 25-year history, the International Committee for Modern Art Museums will hold its annual meeting in Los Angeles. The conference, Sept. 8-15, is expected to draw a distinguished group of directors and chief curators of modern and contemporary art museums throughout the world. Members represent 33 countries including the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Japan, Israel and Australia.
