Firefighters Assn. Endorses Schaefer

The Ventura County Professional Firefighters’ Assn. has endorsed county Supervisor Madge L. Schaefer in the 2nd District and contributed $1,500 to her campaign for reelection.
Spokesman Keith Kraetsch said Schaefer, a former Thousand Oaks city councilwoman first elected to the board in 1986, has “lived up to our expectations. She has been straightforward in addressing problems that existed in the department and we have worked together to solve them.”
Schaefer has supported firefighters’ requests for equipment necessary to do their jobs properly, Kraetsch said.
