WRONG NUMBER: It happens in nearly every political campaign--a mass mailing seeking support lands on the most inopportune doorstep. . . . This time, a strongly worded pitch for Assessor Bradley L. Jacobs, focusing on his battle with local cable television operators over increased taxes, went to two executives of companies which have filed suit against Jacobs. . . . His consultant, who said the volunteer envelope stuffers “don’t read the paper,” suggested the executives “can simply toss it.”
