Sen. Cranston on Using Peace Dividend for National Needs
- Share via
One appeal to Cranston’s office has ended 10 years of harassment from the Internal Revenue Service.
For years my accountant and I have been trying, without success, to reach the IRS by phone and letter in an attempt to resolve the claim. The senator’s staff contacted the IRS in my behalf and directed them to contact my accountant and resolve the matter.
The matter came to a head late last year when, after six months of demand without explanation, the IRS threatened to confiscate my assets. At this point I contacted the senator’s office for help.
Public officials get continual criticism, but now I would like to publicly thank the senator for his help. I thank God that we still have people in public office who will act in the interests of the working class.
Sen. Cranston, let me give you my undying thanks.
