Grossmont to Change Coaches--Frank Foggiano was relieved of his duties as Grossmont High’s boys’ and girls’ basketball coach, it was announced.
“It was simply that the basketball program wasn’t going in the direction that we thought it should,” Grossmont Athletic Director Judd Hulbert said. “It’s not any one particular thing.”
Last season the boys’ team finished 6-17 and third in the Grossmont 2-A League at 2-4. The girls were 6-17 and 0-6. Foggiano coached the boys’ team for 10 years and the girls’ team for six.
Hulbert said Foggiano will continue teaching at the school.
