Quarterback Major Harris of West Virginia will come to Los Angeles today or Wednesday for a Raider minicamp and also will begin contract talks with the NFL team, according to his agent.
“I talked to the Raiders this morning,” Ed Abram said from his San Francisco office. “It’s been beautiful. They’ve been very optimistic about Major.”
Added Abram: “All indications are they are not even remotely thinking about (paying) 12th-round money.”
Abram also confirmed that Harris has been offered about $1.5 million by Vancouver of the Canadian Football League.
