HemaCare Corp. Income Drops 65% for Quarter

HemaCare Corp., a Sherman Oaks provider of blood-related services and products, said its net income declined 65% to $62,641 in the first quarter that ended March 31 from $178,657 a year earlier. Revenues rose 37% to $1.7 million from $1.3 million.
The company said earnings in the latest quarter were hurt by research and development costs.
