Eichhorn Selected Angel of Week

Relief pitcher Mark Eichhorn, who earned his fourth save in as many opportunities Wednesday, is The Times’ Orange County Edition Angel of the Week.

Eichhorn pitched 1 1/3 innings in Boston Wednesday to save a victory for Kirk McCaskill. Against the Yankees, he pitched two-thirds of an inning Saturday and two innings Sunday, lowering his earned-run average to 1.04.

A check for $250 in Eichhorn’s name will be given to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange County.
