“I don’t care if I get fined. I make $3 million. What’s a couple of thousand dollars?” A couple of thousand dollars could feed, clothe and shelter many families in the United States. It also provides medical care for those suffering from conditions more severe than a punch from Scott Hastings. It provides much more, but Charles Barkley might not understand. Maybe the NBA should have fined Barkley $200,000. The lesson would have been better.
