PREP TRACK ROUNDUP : Collins, Loara Dash Past El Dorado

Coy Collins won the 100-yard dash in 9.9 seconds and the 220 in 22.4 to lead Loara High School to a 97-36 victory over El Dorado in an Empire League track and field meet at Loara.
Greg Ramsey won the high jump with a leap of 6-feet-4 for Loara, and Albert Avila took first in the discus with a toss of 164-11.
In another Empire League boys’ meet:
Katella 106, Cypress 29--Kendall Wesley won the 220 (23.9) and the 440 (55.3) for Katella.
In a South Coast League boys’ meet:
Dana Hills 101, Irvine 33--Senior Andy Marrone broke his school discus record for the fifth time this season with a throw of 179-4.
In a Pacific Coast League boys’ meet:
Orange 74, Trabuco Hills 61--Mark Kammelohr won the long jump (20-6 1/2), triple jump (41-8) and 300-meter intermediate hurdles (42.9) for host Orange.
In a Sunset League boys’ meet:
Huntington Beach 78, Fountain Valley 56--David Lacy won the 200 meters (22.82) and the 100 (11.0) for Huntington Beach.
In a Century League girls’ meet:
Canyon 90, El Modena 37--Canyon (5-0) was led by Christa Ritter, who won the discus (104-10).
