A 15-month-old girl was found unharmed today, about 12 hours after her mother’s car was stolen outside their home with the toddler in the front seat, police said.
Erica Jackson was still inside the car when it was located in a Hyde Park neighborhood. The car had been abandoned a short distance from where it was stolen Tuesday.
The girl was unharmed when officers found her in the car, parked at 6308 10th Ave., Sgt. Greg Glodery said.
The car was stolen from the 2700 block of West 73rd Street, just blocks from 10th Avenue, about 9 p.m. when the girl’s mother left the child in the auto and the engine running while she went back into their house.
