THOUSAND OAKS : Conejo Valley Days Festivities Begin

Conejo Valley Days start today at Conejo Creek Park on Janss Road, east of the Moorpark Freeway.
The schedule for the carnival, midway, food and games concessions, exhibit tent, bingo and country-fair tent and youth tent is:
* Today and Thursday--5 to 10 p.m.
* Friday--5 p.m. to midnight.
* Saturday--noon to midnight.
* Sunday--noon to 8 p.m.
Admission is $2.50 for adults; $2 for students and senior citizens; $1 for children 7-12; and free for children 6 and under.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. today at the entrance of the exhibit tent on the festival grounds.
Badgeroo Contest--where contestants show off their patches and pins collected from past Conejo Valley Days--will be held today at 7 p.m. at the outdoor stage.
Women’s Western Wear Contest will be at 7 p.m. Thursday on the outdoor stage.
The parade will start at 9 a.m. Saturday on Thousand Oaks Boulevard at Auburn Court.
