TOKYO — Toshiba Corp. said today it will conduct research and development on high-definition television technology at its U.S. subsidiary in Wayne, N.J.
The company said the decision is in line with moves to formulate U.S. standards for HDTV and related equipment.
The company said a HDTV research and development center will be established at its subsidiary, Toshiba America Consumer Products Inc.
