Avon Sues Chartwell: Avon Products Inc. said it has filed a suit against investment group Chartwell Associates LP, asking a court to stop Chartwell from buying more Avon shares. In the suit filed in U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, Avon charged Chartwell with making “a relentless effort” to get Avon to pursue policies beneficial to Chartwell, rather than Avon.
