Winners Named in Ballet Competition

Three young dancers beat out the competition for the 1990 Career Awards in Ballet sponsored by the San Diego Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters.
Miranda Weese, 15, of Santa Ana took first prize, Erin Radabaugh, 14, of San Diego second, and Tiffany Bellini, 15, of La Costa third. Erin and Tiffany are students at the California Ballet School in San Diego.
Top competitors from across the country will compete for national honors and a $20,000 award May 24-26 in Pittsburgh.
Margaret Marshall, director of UC San Diego’s dance program and national chairwoman of the society, and former New York City Ballet soloist Jillana, now of San Diego, will be among the judges for this year’s event.
