Assembly Candidate Wilcox Agrees to Change Job Description on Ballot

After an inquiry by the California Secretary of State’s office, Assembly candidate Rob Wilcox has changed the description of his job on ballots for the June primary.
Wilcox, an aide to Republican Assemblywoman Marian La Follette (R-Northridge), said he agreed to change the ballot description to an “Assembly member’s legislative representative” after the state challenged the designation.
The state wrote a letter earlier this month asking Wilcox to substantiate the description of his work as an “Assembly executive director.”
Wilcox said he chose the original identification because he is executive director of La Follette’s citizens’ task force working to break up the Los Angeles Unified School District.
“It was not explained at the very beginning what the do’s and don’ts are,” he said. Wilcox is seeking to replace La Follette, who is retiring.
