CLEANUP: Spray-painted graffiti and other vandalism against Orange County Transit District buses has led to big increases in clean-up costs. . . . In the last 12 years, $350,000 has been spent repainting 583 buses and removing gang logos from seats and interiors. . . . “Now, for the first time, OCTD has begun a budget dedicated to graffiti,” said the OCTD’s Joanne Curran. . . . Still, this doesn’t come close to what it costs to clean buses in Los Angeles: $10 million a year.
