A Day-O for Belafonte: The Washington-based anti-apartheid organization Transafrica will present Harry Belafonte with its Nelson Mandela Courage Award on April 1 at a fund-raiser at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The award will be given to Belafonte for his social activism. The $250-a-plate dinner will be hosted by Bill Cosby. Other celebrities involved with the event include Debbie Allen, Danny Glover, Oliver Stone, Sidney Poitier, Armand Hammer and Robert Guillaume.
