Python Movie

Concerning the “resignation under pressure” (Metro Digest, March 10) of the seventh-grade Pasadena science teacher, Peter Connolly, for showing the Monty Python movie “The Meaning of Life”--which included 2 seconds of partial nudity--all we can say is shame, shame, shame onthe Pasadena Unified School District.
The brainy juxtapositions that trademark the Python’s humor can only be regarded as an inspired educational idea.
Connolly’s dismissal is a depressing and colorless move at a time when a premium has gotto be put on creativity in our schools.
