VENTURA : Vote Delayed on Ban of Big Boats in Yards
- Share via
The Ventura City Council has delayed action on an ordinance that would ban large boats from front and back yards.
The proposal would ban the storage of boats over 25 feet in length on private property for more than 72 hours, unless fully confined in an enclosed area such as a garage.
The ordinance also would require that no more than one boat smaller than 25 feet be allowed in the open on private property.
The ordinance was given preliminary approval during last week’s council session, but city officials said questions about the measure’s legality delayed action Monday.
