NEW YORK — Sportscaster Al Michaels has labeled as absolutely false a report that he has been suspended for a month by ABC. (Earlier story, C3.)
Michaels reportedly was suspended for violating the network’s policy on nepotism.
During the U.S. Figure Skating Championships at Salt Lake City on Feb. 10 and 11, Michaels was accompanied by his daughter Jennifer. She served as a runner for ABC and was paid less than $100, a minor violation of the network’s policy on nepotism.
