SIMI VALLEY : 2 Charged in Spree of Car Burglaries

Two men were arrested and charged with 14 counts of vehicle burglary after Simi Valley police discovered them sleeping in a truck surrounded by their victims’ belongings, authorities said Monday.
Simi Valley Police Officer Stephanie Shannon responded about 3:45 a.m. Monday to reports of numerous vehicle burglaries at the Rancho Corrales apartment complex at 670 Country Club Drive, Sgt. Arch Morgan said.
Shannon found the victims’ property--including clothing, golf clubs and car seats--strewn on the ground throughout the complex and around a truck where she discovered two men sleeping.
Joseph Gonzalez, 21, of Mission Hills and Pedro Montoya, 22, of Pacoima were arrested.
