STRANDA, Norway — The women’s World Cup downhill finale, which had been rescheduled for Saturday, was canceled today after an overnight blizzard.
Organizers said the race will be held next Saturday at Are, Sweden, site of the World Cup finals.
After a heavy snowfall until 2 a.m. local time, the Roalden downhill course had up to one meter of soft snow in some places and could not be prepared for today’s practice runs.
