Nordstrom ‘Guilty’ of Rewarding Initiative, but Others Also Require Work ‘Off the Clock’
- Share via
Southern California regional Vice President Betsy Sanders’ remark comparing working for Nordstrom to attending a highly regarded and competitive educational institution shows an incredible lack of insight.
It is understood that educational institutions serve to enrich one’s perspective and encourage independent thought. It would seem that a system that is inclined to push individuals into working unpaid overtime, in order to make the company look good, is guilty of creating its own corporate feudal system.
I hope that those who have left the company are not too stung by her flippant remark designating them as “C-minus” persons but understand that this callousness is typical of lords who have lost touch with their serfs.
