Una Hanbury; Widely Exhibited Sculptor

Una Hanbury, 86, a sculptor whose work is found at the National Portrait Gallery and other museums and galleries around the world. Miss Hanbury’s works, in bronze, cast aluminum, stone, terra cotta and marble, are in more than 500 private and public collections worldwide, including those of the Portrait Gallery, the Smithsonian Institution, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, all in Washington, and the Royal Academy in London. Her monumental bronze sculptures and portraits include those of scientist Robert Oppenheimer and artist Georgia O’Keeffe. She became a fixture in the Santa Fe, N.M., arts community after moving there 25 years ago. In Santa Fe on Feb. 9.
