Sorting of Curbside Trash Recommended
Beverly Hills residents would sort their trash for curbside collection under a recycling program recommended by a citizens’ committee to the City Council at its regular meeting Tuesday.
The committee also called for a program to recycle grass cuttings and other garden trash.
The report was the first step toward drawing up a solid-waste management plan required under state law.
The city is obligated to submit its plan and have it approved by the county no later than July, 1991.
