The American Film Institute Alumni Assn. Writers Workshop is seeking script submissions from minority screenwriters in Los Angeles for its newly established Ethnic Minority Screenwriters Development Program. Five winners will be chosen to receive a $500 scholarship and a personal critique of their work from an industry expert.
The program was created in response to a report by the Writer’s Guild of America West which stated that only 2% of writers employed each year are minorities.
The deadline for submissions is March 10. The submission fee is $25.
