LOS ALAMITOS : All Star Race for Don MacBeth Fund Announces Post Positions

Post positions have been drawn for Friday’s First Annual All Star Jockeys Race, a harness racing exhibition featuring eight jockeys from Santa Anita.
Four jockeys each will compete in two one-mile elimination races at 7:50 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. (after the second and third races) with the top two in each division returning for the championship at 9:15 p.m. (after the sixth race).
This special exhibition will benefit the Don MacBeth Memorial Jockey Fund.
Post positions in the first elimination are: 1. Laffit Pincay Jr.; 2. Gary Stevens; 3. Corey Black; 4. Alex Solis.
From the rail out in the second elimination are: 1. Chris McCarron; 2. Eddie Delahoussaye; 3. Robbie Davis; 4. Ray Sibille.
A list of pacers entered in the exhibition was not immediately available.
Tim Conway, noted comedian and avid supporter of racing, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the All Star Jockeys Race.
Conway is co-founder of the Don MacBeth Fund, which was created to aid jockeys permanently or temporarily disabled.
Lloyd Arnold, president and general manager of Los Alamitos, will make a $10,000 contribution to the fund on behalf of the track.
