Edison Boosts Business With Minority Banks: Southern California Edison, which pledged last September to increase its business dealings with minority-owned firms, increased its credit lines and deposits with minority-owned banks. The Rosemead-based utility also boosted its lines of credit to $27 million from $5 million and said it would do business with 23 banks--11 more than before--owned by Asians, Latinos, blacks and women. The banks are all in Southern California.
